Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth Sets the Stakes in a New Trailer and New Screenshots
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is coming to PlayStation 5 next month, and Square Enix is kicking its campaign into gear with a brand new trailer and some new screenshots for the much-anticipated second installment in the planned remake trilogy.
The new trailer, “Destined for Rebirth” takes us into the thread facing the planet and the conflict that touches personal connections for Cloud and his friends. Sephiroth “wants to finish what he started”, Cloud says, “and rule over the planet”. Well, there’s going to be a fight ahead. More than one of them.
If you’re a Final Fantasy VII fan, then you know the overall story and while Square Enix does look to keep things faithful, they’re also showing off some new and updated touches as well. Included in the trailer is a look at the Midgardsormr, the Junon ceremony, and flashes to the past, including the Nibelheim incident.

Square Enix released new screenshots that also give us our best look at Cait Sith and its stuffed Mog, more Yuffie, Turks member Elena, along with several battle shots that also even include Moogle Pinwheel, Cait sith and Yuffie’s synergy ability. All in all, what should be one of early 2024’s showcase titles is getting closer.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will be out as a timed exclusive on PlayStation 5 on February 29th.
