2024 has been a great year for indie titles, and , a game developed by one indie developer named Zeekerss is a great example of that. is a horror co-op title where people must team together in groups of four to salvage scrap materials to sell to an ominous and mysterious force. People so far have loved it, with the PC version on Steam being met with rave reviews and currently sitting with an «Overwhelmingly Positive» rating.
Sadly, as with almost anything that gains even a modicum of success nowadays, there will be those waiting in the wings to swoop in and take advantage of the popularity. According to a moderator on the official Lethal Company Discord (via Eurogamer), an app currently on the Google Play with the dubious name of, is not actually a game created by Zeekers. Currently, the game sits on the Google Play Store with a 3.6 out of five-star rating, with users saying it isn't genuine, though surprisingly, according to the reviews, it does actually seem to be at least some sort of working game — though it's highly recommended that no one should actually download it. Meanwhile, over on the Apple App Store, a mobile game called simply (also not an official game) currently sits on the store and is slated for release in 2024.
According to the website AppBrain, the developer that goes by the name AlexKos Dev has only been active on the Google Play store for a month, and the game has already amassed an eye-watering 600,000 downloads in the short span of time it's existed. When examining the user's Google Play profile, no other software or apps are listed, nor is there any way to contact the person. Whether it's the same person who goes by Aytac Kahveci on the App Store («developer» of the Apple version) remains uncertain, but what is fairly certain is that both of the games should be avoided.
