As part of Xbox’s Developer Direct, Square Enix Ltd. shared exciting details about Visions of Mana™, marking the first mainline entry in the Mana series in over 15 years. During the developer showcase, Mana Series Producer Masaru Oyamada and Mana Series Creator Koichi Ishii introduced players to the reimagined world of Mana. They provided insights into the game’s development process and showcased its action-packed gameplay. Scheduled for a Summer 2024 release, Visions of Mana will be available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PC via STEAM®.

The trailer offers fans and newcomers a closer look at the latest gameplay features, monsters, and creatures in Visions of Mana. Mana Series Producer Masaru Oyamada revealed new combat details, including the addition of the aerial combat system, allowing players to engage in mid-air physical and magical attacks. The return of series staple, the Elementals, was also highlighted, providing specialized items with unique effects based on their respective elements for a flexible fighting style.
Players can anticipate encountering a new companion in Visions of Mana called the “pikuls,” designed by Mana Series Creator Koichi Ishii. These adorable companions, inspired by animals and mythology, will assist players in traversing the game’s expansive ground map as they explore the vibrant world.
SQUARE ENIX® announced that the Visions of Mana soundtrack will feature a launch track list of 100 songs composed or contributed to by musical creators from previous Mana titles, including Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Ryo Yamazaki. The game will introduce a new adaptive music system, seamlessly transitioning between map exploration and battles to enhance the sense of urgency.
