Mini PC manufacturer, AOOSTAR, has unveiled its brand new GEM10 Mini PC which offers AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS APUs with OCULINK in a compact shape.
The world of Mini PCs is getting more vibrant each day with new compact & powerful solutions occasionally popping out of the wild. The latest entry in this market is the GEM10 Mini PC from AOOSTAR which is a name that we haven't heard much in the mainstream but it looks like a SFF powerhouse based on its specifications.
The AOOSTAR GEM10 Mini PC comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with 8 cores and 16 threads based on the Zen 4 core architecture. The APU has a base clock of 3.8 GHz, a boost clock of 5.1 GHz, 16 MB of L3 cache, and a TDP ranging from 35-54W. It also comes with the Radeon 780M iGPU which has 12 compute units operating at 2700 MHz.
As per internal tests done by the Mini PC manufacturer, the GEM10 was able to sustain 75W power in the Performance mode with temps reaching 81C and 65W power in the Balanced Mode with temps reaching 75C. There's also a more power efficient mode which sits at 54W power with peak temps hitting 65C.
Cooling in the tiny aluminum chassis which is CNC machined is achieved with the Glacier 2.5 system and allows for three power modes adjustable through the BIOS (28W/35W/45W). The cooling solution is said to operate with a noise output of under 40 dBA. The chassis measures 10.7x10.7x6cm and is a 0.6L design making it one of the smallest Mini PCs on the market.
Other hardware specifications include support for LPDDR5-6400 memory (up to 64 GB) which can be overclocked up to 7500 MT/s speeds through the BIOS, triple NVMe 4.0 x4 slots, dual 2.5GbE (Intel 226V) ethernet ports, two HDMI 2.1 and a single USB4 PD output. Wireless connectivity comes in the form of WiFi
