Larian has released the anticipated Patch 6 for the winner of some awards, Baldur’s Gate 3. This patch improves the most important feature of the game: kissing.
Actually, we basically covered the gist of this patch before, but now that it’s out in the wild, we can cut it open and see what’s inside. As I lead with, the biggest addition is a tonne of new kissing animations. Beyond just kissing, the patch notes highlight they’ve “improved” some of the final cinematics to “better reflect the connection between players and their partners.” Ladies.
There are some smaller tweaks as well, but the other big ones for me are improved idle camp animations and better speaker prioritization in dialogue. The game will now default to your avatar as the speaker whenever dialogue automatically triggers rather than whatever character you’re currently in control of. So, there won’t be any awkward moments when you wander into an NPC’s dialogue trap and suddenly Lae’zel’s filling up your screen like she’s the main character.
Patch 6 for Baldur's Gate 3 is now live!
