introduces players to an all-new crafting system that utilizes a lot of new ingredients; one such ingredient, Thalamus, requires players to follow Chaos into their realm. Once players have unlocked the seed plots in the Crossroads, they'll be able to plant any seeds they dig up from various locations in the Underworld and on the surface. To get started planting and harvesting Thalamus, first unlock the spade in the armory to gain the ability to dig up seeds.
This new mechanic allows players to collect seeds from each region present in the game. The seeds are unique to the region from which they're dug up, and each seed is needed for different incantations and upgrades throughout Hades 2. As you enter each location,check the floor for any unusual-looking spots of dirt, digging them up whenever you can to collect seeds for your garden!
Eris, Strife Incarnate, is a boss on the Surface in Hades 2 who stands in your path as a powerful opponent almost as difficult to beat as Chronos.
Thalamus is a large, blobby-looking plant that can only beharvested from plants you grow in the crossroads. Before you can do so, you'll need to unlock the Silver Spade in the armory. This spadecosts 10 silver, which can be gathered throughout Erebus using the Crescent Pick. Once you've gotten the spade unlocked, you'll also have to head to the surface.
Once on the surface, die from the curse that afflicts Melinoe. After you do so, Moros will talk with you, fulfilling a prophecy from the Fated List of Minor Prophecies and letting you know that there's an incantation that might allow Melinoe to breathe up on top.
This incantation will require a few things, Thalamus included. Now, you'll be able to dig up Origin Seeds from Chaos' realm whenever you head through one of the Chaos Gates. If you're looking for seeds, make sure to use the Chaos Gates whenever you can, even if you're not particularly interested in the boons Chaos has to offer.
