When it comes to starting a family in , this new mods feels like an almost essential install given the realism it brings to raising a child. Generally speaking, having children in is a fairly basic process that sees the Farmer and their spouse stuck in a time bubble as their infant never really ages past being a baby. It can be underwhelming for those who want a sytem that better encapsulates the joy of bringing up kids, which is where this handy add-on comes into effect.

If that wasn't enough, the included children each sport unique personalities that are reflective of their parents; Leah's son is adventurous and outgoing, often ending up in places he shouldn't be while Alex's daughter takes after his love of sports. There's a great deal of care an attention placed into realizing these NPCs and given that the mod is in beta, more kids will be added with updates.
Two popular villagers are fighting in a new dialogue added to Stardew Valley 1.6, and cracks in this formerly solid relationship are starting to show.
There may only be children for Leah, Alex, and Penny but that shouldn't stop players who selected a different marriage candidate from checking out the mod. «Growing Valley» also allows users to fully customize their children, enabling those with a non-included spouse to still create their own toddler. Children can have their hairstyle and eye color changed to better suit their parents, so hopefully disputes about biological parents are a thing of the past.
The «Growing Valley» mod also incorporates a wealth of unique dialogue, treating the toddlers like actual NPCs that have likes, dislikes, and conversations with the Farmer.
