Honkai: Star Rail announced that it's giving away 20 free pulls in Version 2.0. The news came out during the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 Special Program stream titled «If One Dreams At Midnight.» The next update will officially go live on February 6.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 is set to be the beginning of the Penacony arc, where the Trailblazers and other characters are invited by The Family to attend the Charmony Festival. It revealed many facets of the luxurious world through various cinematics, from new Honkai: Star Rail characters like Robin and Sunday to the dream-like enemies that players will soon face. The Special Program stream, hosted by HoYoverse CEO Nicholas Dawei and other devs, also gave an in-depth look at these features.
Of course, the most exciting part of any Honkai: Star Rail update is being able to pull for five-star banner characters. For Version 2.0, the game will have its usual Gift of Odyssey, where players can get 10-Star Rail Special Passes after logging in for seven days that they can use for Warp Banner pulls. But this time, Honkai: Star Rail is giving out an additional 10 pulls via the Gift of Stellarium check-in event. This will give all players a total of 20 free pulls in Version 2.0.
Many Honkai: Star Rail fans expressed their excitement on social media, as they're looking forward to pulling for either Black Swan or Sparkle in the upcoming update. Meanwhile, other players brought up the recent Genshin Impact controversy, where fans review-bombed the game due to their dissatisfaction over the 4.4 Lantern Rite rewards, noting that the game needed to step up in terms of rewarding its fans.
Getting free pulls isn't always a guarantee that players will get their preferred five-star characters, but many still appreciate the gesture from Honkai: Star Rail, especially if they're saving Stellar Jades and passes. Before Version 2.0 even rolls out, many players are already looking forward to pulling for new five-star Honkai: Star Rail character
