A recent report suggests that Xbox-published rhythm/action game Hi-Fi Rush could be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, or whatever Nintendo's Switch follow-up ends up being called. Hi-Fi Rush is one of the four Xbox-published games that the company has decided to bring to competing platforms. However, it is only confirmed to be coming to the PlayStation 5 so far.
Rumors were swirling about Xbox potentially going multi-platform, but it was later clarified that only select first-party games would be releasing on competing consoles. Xbox narrowed down its initial multi-platform efforts to four titles specifically, confirming Grounded and Pentiment for PS5 and Switch, with Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves coming to PS5. Nintendo gamers are left out when it comes to Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, but there is some hope that they may get to play the former on a Nintendo console at some point down the line.
Insider-Gaming recently reported that, according to its sources, Hi-Fi Rush could potentially be coming to the unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 console. Presumably, the Nintendo Switch 2 will boast increased power compared to the original Switch, which would make it more likely to receive a game like Hi-Fi Rush. There's no word in the report if Sea of Thieves may also be coming to the Switch 2.
Before fans get too excited, it's worth pointing out that the Nintendo Switch 2 console hasn't even been announced yet. The latest reports suggest that a Switch 2 reveal could happen as early as June 2024, with Nintendo releasing the console Q1 2025. Whenever Nintendo does decide to pull the curtain back on its next console, companies will start announcing games for it, and so it's at that point that fans should learn if there's any truth to these Hi-Fi Rush rumors or not.
Hi-Fi Rush isn't the only game that has been «leaked» for the Switch 2 console. Leakers have claimed that the console has a 2D Donkey Kong game and an open world Super Mario game on the way, along with new Monster
