The Easter Egg in question can be found on a transparent monitor with a radar signal highlighting several green dots next to a spiraling wave. The top left of the screen displays the number «02142024» in the left corner, which is a nod to the release date of the remastered trilogy, February 14, 2024. On the bottom right of the screen, however, is the word "" and the coordinates for Giza, Egypt, which is the setting for the fourth game, .
This Easter Egg is certainly a new addition to the remastered trilogy that wasn't in the original games, and therefore, many are speculating that it is teasing more remasters by Aspyr. was by far the darkest game in the series upon its initial release, featuring with Lara Croft's shocking death upon being trapped in a collapsing tomb in Egypt. This was reportedly due to the developers at Core Design looking to end the series after working on several titles non-stop for years.
