In tandem with Long Tale Games (LTG) Publishers, Undead Fox Games announced the narrative card-based roguelike RPG, which calls on players to grow their power as an up-and-coming demonic ruler of their realm. Military tactics will have to be evenly balanced with diplomatic suavity. All to a series of darkly humored missions and events. The developers warn players to be careful of warring factions and shady advisers; nothing is certain except dark humor. Undead Fox promises that players will enjoy the dark themes and humor they hope to deliver. Dark Lord’s hand-crafted graphics will provide an appropriately brooding atmosphere to give players an immersive gaming experience. Community-built mechanics also allow player creativity. Future players will be able to craft and share their own in-game quests and plots.
There is currently no official release date for Dark Lord. However, a demo is available for players to whet their infernal appetites. The demo provides all the entertainment that players are promised. Dark Lord’s demo does not play like a demo, with minimal narrative errors and great music and graphics. If players free download and start playing, they can already unlock game achievements. They can also try all the different gaming paths and see which ones they will want to improve or try for the official release. And once Dark Lord is released, then players will be able to unleash all their power over their demonic realms. Until then, the Dark Lord demo will have to suffice.
