Some of the requests from fans involve the addition of a potential Helldivers 2 PvP mode, but Arrowhead Game Studios is focused on creating PvE-style games, expanding the studio, and nurturing a community with less toxic elements.
On February 14 at 6:40 pm CT, the Helldivers 2 Discord server experienced a surge of activity after an outage affected the game on Steam, according to Comicbook.com. Some players speculated that a DDoS attack or server hiccup was the cause of downtime for the PC version of Helldivers 2, and many other members of the server began to send a message saying «F» since they weren't able to continue playing. Server moderator purplegion attempted to put a stop to the «F» messages in the Discord server by threatening timeouts and bans for repeat offenders. However, purplegion used Discord's «everyone» tag when issuing the warning, alerting nearly 126,000 members of the server all at once. Thousands of users ignored the warning and began to spam «F» messages across multiple channels, prompting community manager Spitz to step in and temporarily shut down server activity from all users outside the moderating team.
