Zhongli’s leaked new Envisaged Echo in has just undergone a massive change in the beta tests that can nearly be compared to a buff. Echoes are a cosmetic trait that was added to the game recently, shortly after the debut of the Imaginarium Theater game mode. In fact, these Echoes can only be obtained by participating in special trials within the activity. Echoes are commonly referred to as character trails in due to the visual effect they cause on whichever character they are unlocked for.
Envisaged Echoes leave a trail behind the characters as they move around. So far, only a few characters have access to these Echoes, and these trails all contain visual effects that are somewhat related to the character’s abilities, backstories, or elements. Diluc, for example, leaves behind a trail of flames as he runs around. Now, it seems like two characters will get Echoes in Version 5.1. Zhongli’s trail in 5.1 is rumored to be one of them but it just underwent a massive change to its design and length, as seen in recent leaks.
The leaked Envisaged Echo for Zhongli apparently got a bit longer. A new video, which was obtained by the leaker known as Flying Flame, and then shared in a post on Reddit, highlights the new visual effect for Zhongli’s trail. The visual effect’s length has been significantly increased since the initial leak and, from what it seems, its entire design has actually changed. The first leaks showed that Zhongli’s Echo left a trail of Geo sigils, similar to those seen across ancient Adeptus constructions in Liyue, such as the seal protecting Cloud Retainer’s domain in .
Zhongli’s rumored Echo may be longer than the regular trails, as can be seen from the comparison with Keqing’s leaked Echo in the footage.
