Having first been announced by Atlus all the way back in 2016 as Project Re Fantasy, it's almost surreal to think that Metaphor: ReFantazio is finally here. The game's gone down a treat with critics — it's one of the highest-rated releases of 2024 — and the generous ten-hour demo seems to have won over a lot of potential buyers. Atlus has done it again!
We gave the RPG an 'excellent' 9/10 in our Metaphor: ReFantazio PS5 review. «Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the most memorable RPGs we've played in years,» we exclaimed. «While Metaphor takes obvious gameplay and structural cues from the developer's previous projects, it combines and refines those elements to make an epic, kingdom-hopping adventure that feels unique and deeply fulfilling,» we concluded.
We've also written a big old Metaphor: ReFantazio guide if you're looking for some help with the game and its systems:

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.

But if I ever see it for sale around 30-40 euro's, I'm definitely picking it up
bought it but can't play as sold my ps5 to pay towards the pro, 4 weeks to go
