Another month, another glut of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games to (hopefully) look forward to. October's selection is made up of 14 titles, with Extra offering a typically varied mix of software, and Premium opting for a couple of serious crowd pleasers.

So, a quick recap. Extra's headline act has got to be Dead Island 2, the well-received (and long-awaited) zombie-slaying sequel from last year. It's joined by indie darling GRIS, and Return to Monkey Island — the stylised revival of an all-time great franchise.

Two Point Campus is a solid pick as well, while The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me might be worth booting up around Halloween for some cheesy scares. Ghost Recon: Wildlands, meanwhile, is your classic Ubisoft open world time sink — but it can be damn good fun with a friend or two.

Elsewhere, Premium's finally giving us Dino Crisis, and Siren is an inspired choice given the time of year.

Dead island 2 most definitely and I am intrigued by the dark pictures franchise but I've yet to play one and wouldn't know where to start..anybody want to give me a push in the right direction?
