Sony has tagged its upcoming Until Dawn movie with a 25th April, 2025 release date, after filming concluded earlier this month. The film, directed by Lights Out’s David F. Sandberg, features a script penned by Annabelle’s Gary Dauberman.
The movie will mostly host an all-new cast of rising stars, but Swedish star Peter Stormare will reprise his role as the unnerving Dr Hill from the game.
Graveyard shift
Not a lot is known about the storyline, but given the subject material, you can probably expect a typical teen slasher in which a group of frisky adolescents make a series of increasingly unwise decisions in the face of certain death.

@twitchtvpat Seems likely doesn't it? Maybe a trailer for the movie at The Game Awards and then an announcement of the sequel?
On the subject of the actual movie, I think this is probably the easiest adaptation they're going to do. All it needs to be is your average teen slasher and it works fine as an Until Dawn film.
Reviews will almost certainly be bad but budget will probably be low and will likely make a nice profit if it's competent and well marketed.
Peter Stornmare again is fire. I will definitely be seeing this movie, Until Dawn is really good and I think it's possible to have a great film out of it
I've heard that the movie only runs at 24 fps so I'll probably wait for the remaster of this a few years down the line
