10 years after the release of the original game, Creative Assembly has revealed a sequel to Alien: Isolation is now in the early stages of development. Creative director Al Hope shared the announcement in a post to Twitter, saying: «Today, I'm delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development.» More details will be shared when the team is ready.
Since its PS4, PS3 release in 2014, Alien: Isolation has gone on to gain something of a cult status with horror fans, and is highly praised by those who play it. While it didn't review all that impressively at launch, a committed fanbase has built around the game in the years since. The message from Al Hope can be read in full below:
Given the fact the sequel is in «early development», it's more than likely going to be a few years before we see anything tangible from the project, like a proper announcement trailer. Still, for now we know an Alien: Isolation sequel is in the works, and that's enough to make anyone's day. Are you happy about the news? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I shudder to think, how smart they can make the Alien's ai (gulp)
