Dynamight Studios has released a large new balance patch for Fractured Online. This update affects both PVE and PVP content. The patch, which was released quickly to get rid of a big economy glitch, also retunes some mobs, rewards, and makes additional tweaks.
The biggest issues over the past several days has been that gold and divine reward were being generated at rates that were way too high. This meant that gold, orbs, and recipes were all over the place and could’ve damaged the economy if allowed to continue for much longer. In the patch announcement, they note that this was only the case for a couple of days so the impact is minimal right now.
This patch comes ahead of what they had expected to release as their first big patch, Endgame Changer. It intentionally changes gold and divine reward generation and supply, so they've reset everyone's respec timer for all characters and adjusted the cooldown to one day instead of one week.
In PvE changes, C7-9 mobs get a difficulty bump, with the latter intended to be group challenges, not able to be soloed. Ultimate Legends also get reward improvements, with the challenge clearly indicated on the world map. There are also some adjustments intended to encourage Neutral reputation, lest the world all be split between Good and Evil. They do this by way of boosting divine reward drops for Neutral players on Aehern and more.
Gold drops have been reduced in some cases, but not universally. Some of the hardest and slowest wins have gotten boosted gold or weren’t reduced as much. There are other changes intended to improve balance for both PvP and PvE content, with some shifts in attributes and buffs. Other related changes came for various skills across types.
