Nintendo launched a couple of new Switch bundles ahead of the holiday, potentially giving its newest console one last big Christmas before it's replaced by its successor. Another Mario Kart bundle, and a new Smash Ultimate OLED bundle. Switch bundles released for the holidays tend to disappear pretty quickly once those holidays have passed, and if you've been mulling over whether to pick up that Smash one, now is the time to act.
Previously in stock everywhere Switches are sold, the Smash OLED bundle is now in stock at just one retailer - Best Buy. That likely means if you don't grab it before it's gone, it may well be gone until next Christmas, or maybe even forever. Bundling Smash for the holidays was a first for the Switch era, and since the game will be six years old by next Christmas, and Nintendo's focus may have shifted to its new console, Smash Switch bundles may be a thing of the past once Best Buy's stock runs out.
Not only does the OLED Switch come with a copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but its design is Smash-themed. Both the dock and its Joy-Con are dark grey with the Smash Bros. emblem on them. No, not the most imaginative Switch on the market, but possibly the sort of thing you're after in a console. Not everyone likes neon red or pastel yellow alongside their bright white PS5 or black Series X.
