Reviving Pals in is a necessary step in case you want to continue using your captured companions. Despite the constant comparisons between the game and the franchise, this is a survival title and, unlike Nintendo’s classic series, there is no specific item that automatically restores a fallen creature’s HP and has them ready on the go. You will have to follow a very thorough and somewhat unexplained set of steps to revive your Pals.
Despite the work you have to go through, reviving your Pals is a better option than capturing, leveling, and equipping a completely new creature. Capturing Pals in can be a little bit more complicated than fans are accustomed to, as you have to put yourself in combat, lower their HP, and then take a shot a catching them. The good thing is that, even if your Pals fall, there is still a way of recovering them, which is a little different from what happens in other survival games, such as, for instance.

There, you will need to deposit your dead Pal into the Pal Box. This will initiate a 10-minute countdown. At the end of this period, your Pal will be revived in. You can then add your revived Pal back into your party and start using it again.
You do not have to stay in the base waiting for the timer to conclude its countdown, however. If you have other Pals and means of keeping yourself safe in the wild, you are encouraged to leave the revival process occurring and head out to continue farming or hunting other Pals. Of course, you can also use the downtime to organize your resources and customize your base.
You can even seize the opportunity to restore your own HP and heal up other injured Pal companions in .
If your Pal does fall in combat, it is not a permanent loss, but it can derail your plans. You may have to abandon your current activities
