Final Fantasy 16's producer, Naoki Yoshida, has suggested that the game could be getting some post-launch DLC after all, noting in a recent interview that the team was "thinking about" its options.
Ever since Final Fantasy 16 launched a few weeks ago, fans of the game have been suggesting ways that it could be expanded with DLC, such as an episode focusing on Leviathan (one of the only Eikons who isn't properly in the game) and a mysterious crystal that can be spotted in Sanbreque with no obvious purpose.

Although fans have suggested plenty of ways that the game could be expanded, DLC didn't seem like it was on the way for the game, as Yoshi-P has previously said that they wanted to tell a complete story and hadn't considered it as an option. It seems that the massive demand might have changed things, however, as he noted in a recent interview that the team was now looking into its options.
As shared by Twitter user genki_jpn, Yoshida recently took part in an interview with GamerBraves, where he was asked directly about the potential for DLC. Yoshi-P begins by reiterating that he originally just wanted to tell a complete story that can be enjoyed without any DLC, but that the feedback from fans has caused the team to reconsider its options and look into what it can do.
Yoshida said, "As you know, going into Final Fantasy 16, the one thing we wanted to create was a complete story, something you can enjoy from beginning to end 100 percent without any DLC and I think we were able to do that.
