Diablo players have always enjoyed trading, oftentimes creating thriving, robust markets that stand the test of time (looking at you, Diablo 2!). Diablo 4 players, however, have noticed a distinct difficulty with trading in the Season of the Malignant: extreme gold inflation.

This is causing an issue for the vast majority of players — how will trading work if the average player has a few million gold, but sale prices are in the billions of gold? Thankfully, due to the Seasonal model of Diablo 4, this issue may resolve itself for Season 2 — but for now, players will have to wait out the inflation.
