This week, Warlock veteran and Wowhead Class Writer, Kalamazi, prepared three videos discussing feedback for the current state of the three Warlock specs and his wishlist for patch 10.2 for every Warlock spec. AfflictionAffliction got a handful of changes in patch 10.1.5 but there are a few things that could change or be altered to make the spec feel a bit better in M+ and raiding. Affliction does feel pretty good right now with the reduction of the cast of seed of corruption, malefic affliction removal feels great and it plays how it should've played in 10.0. One of the biggest feedbacks for Affliction is the button bloat. Similar to other specs like Retribution and Shadow, Affliction could use a bit of trimming on the sheer number of buttons the spec currently has access to, streamlining the experience. Other points the feedback brings up are awkward situations with Vile Taint's cooldown and tuning issues with Inevitable Demise and Dark Harvest.
DemonologyDemo is likely the Warlock spec that needs the most work of the three. Demonology currently faces a lot of issues with its damage profile and borrowed power. Demonology tree has some talent issues:
Sargerei Technique as a talent right now feels out of place with the spec, buffing Shadowbolt instead of Demon Bolt Bilescourge Bombers as a choice node against Demonic Strength feels weak, as many talents buff DS but not Bombers Fel and Steel has a really weak tuning currently The new 10.1.5 talents, Malefic Impact, Imp-erator, and Cavitation, all feel a bit undertuned, rarely seeing any play Doom.
