Game Director Aaron Keller put out a blog discussing hero balance changes coming with Season 6: Invasion on August 10th, including Mercy nerfs, Orisa buffs, and more!
New Hero Balancing Lifeweaver was too weak on release to where people didn't want to play him. Blizzard wants people to play new heroes because they bring value, not because they're new. They'll make sure to keep a close eye on the power of new heroes and nerf them if necessary.Armor Changes Armor will now be additive with other sources of damage reduction instead of multiplicative. This will mostly affect Ramattra and Orisa, who could be extremely tough to damage through their damage reductions when they had armor. Hero Changes Damage & Tank Heroes Cassidy's magnetic grenade will have its range reduced, and have a max travel time of 1.5 seconds.
Cassidy will also have his HP increased and his damage fall off will be adjusted. Torbjorn will have his primary fire rate increased, and his weapon swap time will be reduced. Solider: 76 will have his helix rocket damage slightly reduced, and hit ultimate cost will be slightly increased.
Orisa's fortify will grant 125 bonus health, and her damage falloff will be slightly extended. Ramattra and Doomfist's blocks will now reduce stuck damage (eg. Tracer's Pulse Bomb).
Sombra will recieve a few small changes, with her larger rework coming in Season 7, with a brand new ability. Support Heroes Lifeweaver's ultimate will have a portion of healing converted to overhealth, up to a maximum of 100 health per player. Lifeweaver's Rejuvenating Dash healing will be increased, and some of his health will be converted to shields.
