Donald Mustard, Epic Games’ chief creative officer and one of the driving forces behind its hugely successful Fortnite, has announced he’s leaving the company.
Mustard, who was also creative director of the Infinity Blade series and Shadow Complex, announced the news on his social media accounts on Friday.
The designer said the Fortnite team were “in the best hands” and working on “huge, jaw dropping, amazing things”.
“After an incredible adventure, I will be retiring from my role as Chief Creative Officer at Epic this month,” Mustard wrote. “I have enjoyed nearly 25 years in the game industry collaborating with some of the most talented people ever and I am so proud of what we have made together.

I am especially proud of the opportunity I’ve had to help create and shape Fortnite.
