Netflix is back at it again at Google Play with a new title. Unlike some previous releases, Vikings: Valhalla is a game that is very much intertwined with the streaming platform, it’s based on one of their hit shows.
Vikings: Valhalla is a game based on the Netflix series, which is, in turn, a sequel to the series ‘Vikings’, set over a century after the events of the original. Valhalla takes place at the end of the Viking Age, as the Christian faith pushes out the Norse gods.
So what’s it about?
Vikings: Valhalla is a strategy game where you take control of a group of Danes and do what Vikings do. You build your settlement and upgrade its facilities. Then you round up your raiding party and head out to seek your fortune by pillaging other people.
You can unlock new kinds of troops to give you more of a strategic advantage, though that’s not the full extent of the tools available to you.
You can build ships to travel further or put together siege weapons to wipe out enemy defenses.
Once you’ve tested your skills on campaign mode, step up to PVP and try your luck with opponents from all across the world.
It’s not all about violence though. You can make alliances with other players and trade your resources, as well as help one another out.
This comes with the promise of an all-new storyline from the world of Vikings: Valhalla, along with some familiar faces from the show, like Leif, Freydis, and Harald.
Sounds like something you’d be interested in? Well if you’re a Netflix subscriber you can pick up Vikings: Valhalla right now via Google Play.
