The trading card game is still fairly new with its initial release of having just launched on September 1, 2023, so naturally, a lot of people are starting off as beginners. One of the unique features of the deck-building game is that each deck can consist of up to two ink colors of any combination. With six total inks making up the universe, this means there are 15 possible combinations of ink colors that players can use to make up their decks in addition to mono-ink decks.
Some powerful card combinations can work well for one person while others may find different sets that may be better suited for them; therefore, it is a good idea to mix and match until a person finds their own ideal blend. Each ink color in offers different strengths and weaknesses that generally prevail with their cards, such as Emerald being the most flexible and Amethyst being heavily focused on magical abilities.

Not only do Emerald and Sapphire inks look pretty together and give the chance for Belle and Beast to play side-by-side, but the inks provide some good balance for each other as well. Emerald is generally a very balanced and flexible assortment, with many different options for how to strategize and work off of the opponent's actions. Meanwhile, Sapphire cards often present a chance to serve a little more complexity, which can counterbalance well against the Emerald cards for beginners. When some of each of these inks are in a hand, it gives choices of whether to play it safe or take a little more risk.
