The news of Little Ladies' Day's arrival came less than a week after Square Enix dropped some important details about the upcoming 2023 Las Vegas Fan Festival event. In the coming days, Final Fantasy 14 players that entered an ongoing lottery to determine if they can purchase FanFest tickets before the public will find out their fate. The FanFest ticket lottery ends on Saturday, February 25, so players that are thinking of going to FanFest will not have much time left to decide.

This year's Little Ladies' Day will run for exactly two weeks from Wednesday, March 1 to Wednesday, March 15. Little Ladies' Day will arrive just under a month after Final Fantasy 14 hosted its annual spin on Valentine's Day, called Valentione's Day. However, Little Ladies' Day is inspired by the Japanese religious holiday called Hinamatsuri, also known as Girls' Day or Doll's Day. Held annually on March 3, the holiday features dolls of the Emperor and Empress of Japan and their court displayed atop a seven-tier shelf draped in a red carpet. The dolls are usually there for display only and are put away before the upcoming spring rains.
