Today, EA has revealed the stats that you, the player, have accomplished together as community since the release of F1 23. The Year on the Track in F1 23 examined in-game data that revealed fans’ favorite teams, drivers, locations, and items. While the actual Formula One season wrapped up at Abu Dhabi last weekend, this marks a good place for EA to take a look at these stats since the game launched back in June. Players have completed 73 million races, one billion laps, and have raced over 5.25 billion kilometers. Three-time World Champion and EA SPORTS Ambassador, Max Verstappen, was also selected the most to race. This was followed by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and F1 23 Ambassador Charles Leclerc.
Red Bull was the most popular team on the grid followed by Mercedes and Scuderia Ferrari in a close second and third. Players favorite race locations included Bahrain, Melbourne and Austria as traditional circuits were preferred over street circuits. Players triggered 4.5 million red flags, which were added to the game this year, and there were over a half million attempts at Pro Challenges. These are where fans attempted to beat the lap times set by actual F1 drivers in the game. The development team continued to offer content for its F1 World throughout the season, which would challenge players to surpass goals that were set at corresponding weekend races.
