Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds has a new update, featuring a new episode, events, costumes, a new familiar, and more to do and collect.
The new episode is called Goldbeard’s Treasure Island, and it's your turn to discover that Treasure Island by defeating Goldbeard a pirate turned Kraken. Easier said than done, but there are a number of ways to progress and complete this, including some new story and reputation quests. This episode will run through June 1st and will include a number of quests and ways to earn reputation points. Those quests will feature solo and five player dungeon marine warfare.
If you are playing solo, there is enough as version of the dungeon for just one player that you can clear once for rewards, but the five player dungeon is replayable for additional rewards. Netmarble will also add hard and challenge modes later on. Once you clear the five-player dungeon, you'll get episode XP, a special puzzle pack, and a familiar, the four-star Purrloiner.
Purrloiner, fitting a pirate-themed update, is a black cat who wields a sword and wears an eyepatch. Once you get this new familiar, you can also participate in a special event themed after Purrloiner for a number of items, including chests and Purrloiner biscuits.
This is a pirate and seafaring themed update, you can begin to explore islands of the archipelago and earn some new rewards by defeating field monsters and other challenges. visit the mystery islands and explore them to encounter new opportunities to earn yourself some new stuff. Some of the rewards include pirate badges, Gold chests, and other things that count as episode currency that you can exchange for additional rewards during the event.
