I found someone who sells used PS2 games and I would like to buy some as I just bought an HDMI adapter and new memory card for my old console (although I am yet to make it work, but that's a different discussion), but I am a bit reluctant about this for a certain reason.

Do you know if they are safe to play or is there a possibility they could have a virus? The last thing I would want is to virus my console. Other than that, are there any other reasons against playing used games if they have no scratches?
