While announcing an upcoming stress test for Mortal Kombat 1's online, the official MK Twitter account seems to have suggested that 2v2 fights will be making a return.

Earlier this month, NetherRealm and Warner Bros. finally confirmed that the studio's next game is Mortal Kombat 1, a timeline reset that takes place in Fire God Liu Kang's new universe.

The reveal trailer was bloody and revealed several returning characters, but it didn't really tell us much about how the game plays, with the Mortal Kombat website doing most of the heavy lifting by confirming a "new fighting system" as well as new game modes and the Kameo Fighters system.
