Ed Teased in New Trailer for Street Fighter 6
Capcom has released a new teaser trailer for Ed, one of Street Fighter 6’s most hotly anticipated DLC characters.
The trailer shows off cutscenes from Ed’s World Tour section, giving us a peek at his gameplay and move set. Ed’s Snatcher, one of his most well-known moves, returns from Street Fighter V.
Ed’s ‘Psycho Boxing’ fighting style also seems to be intact. We see Ed bobbing and weaving around enemies throughout the trailer and the aforementioned Snatcher move confirms he’ll have access to his Psycho power abilities to mix in with his the rest of his moves.
In Street Fighter V, Ed served as almost a precursor to what Capcom intended to do in Street Fighter 6 with Modern Controls, which are designed to reduce the mechanical skill requirements on the player and make the game more accessible to newcomers. Ed’s inputs in SFV only required simple button presses. It should be interesting to see how his Classic Controls compare to his Modern ones in SF6
Ed arrives in Street Fighter VI this February as the next character in the Year 1 Pass.
