EA Sports has detailed FC Ultimate Team for the first time.
The mode, which returns from the FIFA series, sees players build their ultimate squad of players from across the world. For the first time ever, this now includes female players.
EA has revealed several new features and quality of life improvements that will be introduced in this year’s version of Ultimate Team.

The first of these is Ultimate Team Evolutions. Ultimate Team Evolutions is a new system that allows users to improve basic players from their club. Now, low-rated players from any club can be levelled up. You’ll be able to add skill moves, work rates and more by completing objectives with those players.
Evolution players can be upgraded multiple times, but once upgraded they can no longer be sold on the transfer market. More upgrades will be available throughout the season, with the idea being that players will be able to keep their evolution players up to the standards of recently released promo cards.
The following five women’s leagues will be added to Ultimate Team, allowing women to be added to teams for the first time:
Male and female players will be able to feature in the same team, and if they’re part of the same affiliated team (such as Chelsea FC and Chelsea Women) they’ll receive a further chemistry link.
Several quality of life improvements have also been announced, such as the ability to equip cosmetic items from the pack screen. Squad Battles matches have also been reduced from 6 minutes to 4 minutes.
The position modifier consumable has been completely removed, meaning that players who can play in multiple positions will simply need to be placed in one
