December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are now available.
This month’s PlayStation Plus Essential titles are It Takes Two (PS4, PS5), Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4, PS5) and Temtem (PS5).
PlayStation Plus members can claim all three games until January 6, after which they’ll be replaced by a new set of titles.
As ever, December’s Essential games are available for anyone with a PlayStation Plus membership, regardless of tier.
They will remain in the player’s library for as long as they continue to have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. If their subscription ends, so too will access to the games, but rejoining the service will make them available again.
Subscribers to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers also receive access to the Game Catalog, a library of downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles.
While December’s Game Catalog titles have yet to be revealed, November’s included Grand Theft Auto 5, Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Like a Dragon: Ishin.
PlayStation Plus Premium also offers members a range of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download, and PS3 games via cloud streaming.
December’s additions to the Classics Catalog will include PS2 games Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. They will be available from December 10.
Sony will be running a free online multiplayer weekend from December 6-8. On these dates, online multiplayer modes for PS5 and PS4 titles will be accessible without a PlayStation Plus subscription.
