Cyberpunk 2077 is, unsurprisingly, full of homeless people. After all, we're constantly told how bad poverty is in Night City, and apartments will lock you out as soon as your rent is late, so it's hardly shocking that we see so many people living on the streets. But now, these unfortunate souls are in luck, because they seem to have been given a huge boost in the new update.
Thanks to the tweaked in-game economy, the homeless NPCs begging for change in Cyberpunk 2077 are in for a huge payday. Now, if you have millions of eddies burning a hole in your pocket, you won't keep them hogged to yourself, as players claim that their V is feeling far more generous than they would like. They say that instead of handing the usual five eurodollars over, they're accidentally handing over thousands, and there's no way to get the money back.

"While coming out of a successful gig, I pass a street beggar and the prompt pops up to give them some money," says Reddit user Robecoyote. "Back in vanilla, this usually gave them something like $5-20. "With the new 'scaling' of V paying for something that doesn't seem to be coded as a set price, I suddenly see my bank account 'Transfer -$45631'."
This is a nasty surprise, especially when you give away the money you just made from your last gig. It's great news for the homeless person though, because let's be honest, five eddies don't take you far in Night City at all. Like, it was an absurdly low amount to give away. Insulting, really.
It's also hilarious that Cyberpunk 2077 is forcing players to redistribute Night City's wealth. Hell yeah, we love to see it. Well, I'll probably love it a little less when I'm saving
