We're close to the release of 's newest agent, Iso. A new duelist with a penchant for 1v1s, Iso occupies a space that at first glance appears extremely similar to a much-maligned character in Reyna. In practice, however, Iso's kit is much more modern — and, perhaps, the latest indication that Reyna needs a rework — with useful tools, flashy abilities, and an ultimate that has drawn justifiable comparisons to opening a Domain Expansion in .
In a recent hands-on preview for press and content creators, went hands-on with Iso and explored his ability kit and impact on the game. Obviously I'm not a professional, so there's plenty to Iso that will escape me when it comes to team compositions and map usage. I do know enough to give you an informed opinion on his basics, though, especially just how he feels to play in an isolated, less-communicative setting — you know, like basically every ranked match we'll ever play until the end of time.
Most players have, unfortunately, experienced this — a ranked game with a duelist who simply refuses to entry. Maybe they've forgotten how to move forward, maybe they had a recent bad experience running it down long, or maybe they meant to pick Omen but accidentally locked a fragger — whatever the reason, they just don't seem willing to push onto a site. Iso gives those players way less of an excuse to not do so. While Iso's Contingency ability is best used with a bunch of other utility, just that option existing will be a boon to duelists with confidence issues (who might not be the best fit for Iso anyways, to be fair — more on that later).
