One of Apple’s key selling points of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are the devices’ ability to play some pretty modern and demanding games. One of which is the recent Resident Evil 4 remake, and it’s launching on compatible iOS devices soon.
Capcom announced that the Resident Evil 4 remake will be coming to the iPhone 15 Pro on December 20. It will also be available for iPad and Mac devices with the M1 chip or later on the same day.
The Ada Wong-focused DLC, Separate Ways, launches alongside the core game. It features additional content that resolves around “a secret mission that expands on the adventure and features thrilling new game mechanics.”
The preorder available now enables a demo of Resident Evil 4. It showcases the beginning of Leon Kennedy’s otherworldly endeavors, and gives you a feel for how the game works on mobile devices. You can play via the device’s touchscreen or with compatible bluetooth controllers. It’s also cross-platform playable with a single purchase so you can easily transfer play across your iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, or Mac. The latter of which offers keyboard and mouse controls.
Resident Evil 4 isn’t the only prominent console title heading towards mobile. Ubisoft also confirmed it will be bringin Assassin’s Creed Mirage to iOS platforms. And Capcom’s Resident Evil Village launched for the aforementioned Apple devices on October 30.
Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage are all landing on modern iOS devices without the need for cloud support. It’s a pretty incredible time for mobile phone gaming.
