Last week, the Batman: Arkham trilogy zipped onto the Nintendo Switch at long last, bringing Kevin Conroy's turn as the iconic Dark Knight to the world of handheld. There is one extra addition to the game, with, with Warner Bros. Games adding a tribute in his memory to the end credits. following his passing in November 2022.
"I just beat Arkham City on Switch and the credits man," @R0ninYT tweeted. "In memory of Kevin Conroy... right in the feels. Rest in peace Mr. Conroy, you were and always will be Batman".
Conroy not only voiced Batman in the Arkham games, but also in several of the animated films, The Animated Series, Injustice, Scooby-Doo, and MultiVersus.
Seeing the new tribute, one fan tagged developer Rocksteady to ask for the memorial to be added to other ports beyond the Switch. "Please add this to the other platforms," @Reincarnated93 said. "We miss our only real Batman that was Kevin Conroy".
The discovery was also shared by GamingBible editor Ewan Moore last night, with a full screenshot attached of the credits which you can see above. Once you beat the game, you'll now see a striking black-and-white silhouette of Gotham City adorned by golden lettering that says, "In memory of Kevin Conroy". While Moore took this picture from Asylum, others report seeing it in City as well.
Tributes immediately poured in after Conroy passed away at the age of 66 following a "short battle with cancer". Joker actor Mark Hamill, who also said that he will be stepping down from the role amidst Conroy's passing, said, "Kevin's warm heart, delightfully deep laugh, and pure love of life will be with me forever.
