Turn 10 Studios has released Forza Motorsport Update 3, bringing the Hockenheim Ring to their racing game, adding new career events, refreshing the multiplayer playlists, and making a sweeping set of bug fixes.
Hockenheim is probably one of my favourite race circuits, best known to gamers for the long time that it spent on the Formula 1 calendar. In Forza Motorsport, Hockenheim can be races through the Full Circuit, National Circuit and Short Circuit layouts. I’d have loved to have seen a historic layout racing through the forest, but no luck there…
For the career mode, there’s a cycle of new events that will cycle in each week through to the end of January, featuring the Contemporary Tour and Open Class – British Marques. There’s big rewards at the end of each, with the 2022 Pagani Huayra R for the Contemporary Tour and 2015 McLaren 650S for the Open Class series.
Through the rest of the game there’s plenty of fixes and improvements. Accessibility adds a new screen narrator that can let you know your race position and driver names ahead and behind you, in a good new feature. They’ve also rebalances the aerowash when drafting, and PC gamers have a fresh set of optimisations and fixes to look forward to for a broad set of system builds.
