Google Maps is about to get a lot more immersive with the rollout of an AI-enhanced feature that gives you bird's-eye view of your route complete with 3D imagery along the way.
Google first teased Immersive View for Google Maps in May 2022, with multi-dimensional panoramas of a neighborhood, landmark, or popular venue overlaid with details like weather, traffic, and busyness. "That way, you can easily avoid riding during rainy weather or heavy traffic."
The feature is currently rolling out in select cities, including Amsterdam, London, New York, Tokyo, and more, across iOS and Android devices.
