Journey Across Raava , the recently-released, browser-based game that serves as a lore experience leading up to upcoming MMORPG Into the Echo , has its first new chapter. The Kikitora update adds new story, new features, and quests as a murder mystery unfolds.
This is the first of the promised content updates for Journey Across Raava. A local merchant is murdered, and there's no obvious suspects. a member of the community is falsely accused and this is where you come in. There's still a danger out there since someone has been murdered and no one has been caught yet, so you'll have to investigate and try to determine the truth of what happened. through this process, you'll likely start getting to know even more NPCs and more about potential motives and the threat at hand.
This new chapter in the narrative continues the initial story and includes a number of new quests. There are three new puzzles, and the team has added several catch-up features to existing puzzles that will let new players always get up to date on an ongoing basis. This includes the ability to replay previous puzzles from the in-game journal. Since the free to play experience combines narrative in a visual novel style, puzzles, and RPG mechanics, this should help, as the team plans to update monthly.
The Kikitora update also adds some new gameplay features. The biggest one is Qen smithing, which you can access via the crafting interface. This crafting system is not just a way to make new items and tools using the power of Qen, it’s another way we can learn elements of Into the Echo’ s lore a bit more deeply. This also applies to the introduction of Incantations, something the team calls “a new way to draw upon the magic of Raava”.
