Want to spend your Halloween hunting ghosts with friends? Kinetic Games has released a timely update for the co-op horror hit Phasmophobia.
Update v0.9.1.0 (Halloween 2023) inches the longtime member of the Early Access club closer to its full release. The update includes a full revamp of the Maple Lodge Campsite “featuring a new reception building, two separate campsite areas, new assets and areas, more hiding spots and greatly improved performance.” Beyond that, there’s your normal slew of fixes, changes, and tweaks (which I’ll paste below). And the EULA has been updated! Woo!
The bigger draw for this patch, however, is the addition of Halloween Event 2023. Through this event, you’ll be able to unlock a festive ID-card badge and a trophy. Beyond that, the Maple Lodge Campsite and Prison maps will be available to everyone starting at level 1.
It’s nice to see the developer is still getting fixes out after the recent fire at their office. I personally haven’t played Phasmophobia in years, ever since I tortured my friends by being reckless and playing tricks on them. Good times.
Phasmophobia is currently available on PC via Early Access. Console versions are in the works but have been delayed due to the aforementioned fire.
