This week, Diablo Immortal adds some new features, including two affecting gems, a camera improvement, balance tweaks, and some returning events. The update also sets the foundation for the upcoming Harvest Bounty event.
The new update will start rolling out overnight on November 7th, with the patch in place globally by early Wednesday. North American players will notice that the recent seasonal time change back to Standard Time also sets the server time back by an hour, which also impacts the start of maintenance.
Once the patch is live, there are two important feature updates to Gems. According to the devs, since the cost of leveling up Legendary Gems is so high, trying something new isn’t always easy. The new Auxiliary Gem Inlay means that you will be able to place an extra auxiliary legendary gem into a legendary gem you've already equipped. The primary gem’s affix is replaced by the new Auxiliary Gem at rank 1, but Resonance, Combat Rating, and Magic Find bonuses are all based on the primary gem. You won’t lose the combat rating and bonuses that you’ve put time and effort into ranking up, but still get to try something new.
The new Legendary Gem power transfer option will let you use Gem Power from five-star Legendary Gems that you’ve stopped using. There are several ways to use this new mechanic, and it is designed to work with the Auxiliary Gem feature.
An update to the camera increases the field of view in game, giving a bigger look at your surroundings.
As for events, there are plenty of those too. Trial of the Hordes is back starting November 10th. The head to head PvP event sees you fight waves of demons, while sending the numbers of those you slay into your opponent’s lane. All Clans on Deck is also
