The release of: Ultimate Edition next week will also see a new 2.1 update that will bring ”New and hotly-anticipated gameplay elements” for the great price of free, according to developer CD Projekt Red.
The Ultimate Edition, out on December 5, 2023, packages Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion together, as well as the multitude of changes, tweaks, and fixes made since the base game’s notoriously disastrous launch in 2020.
But CD Projekt Red intends to keep on giving to fans with Quest director Paweł Sasko and producer Monika Janowska discussing the update during a Twitch live stream on December 1 at 7 PM PT / 12 PM ET / 3 PM GMT / 4 PM CET.
On December 5th, the same day Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition hits the shelves, we’ll release a free Update 2.1 introducing new and hotly anticipated gameplay elements. ?

The game is essentially complete with the recent release of the expansion Phantom Liberty, which stars actor Idris Elba. That expansion brought a massive overhaul to the base game. CD Projekt Red is now focusing on other projects, including The Witcher 4, so Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition looks to be the big sendoff for the game after a tumultuous existence.
