Cyberpunk 2077 latest patch, patch 2.1, brings path tracing and regular ray tracing improvements across the board, as highlighted by a few comparison videos shared on YouTube.
In the video shared by StunningVanilla, the path tracing improvements are pretty evident in some scenarios, with reflections seeing the best enhancements. While ghosting issues are considerably reduced, path tracing is still not perfect in CD Projekt Red's game, which isn't surprising, considering it is the first open-world title to implement it.
The introduction of NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction support for regular ray tracing mode in Cyberpunk 2077 also brought some improvements, although with a performance hit on RTX 3000 and 2000 series GPUs, as highlighted in the video shared by MXBenchmarkPC.
Path tracing and ray tracing improvements are only some of the features added to Cyberpunk 2077 with the 2.1 patch. Others include a metro system, new vehicles, new interactions with the chosen romantic partner, and much more. You can find the full patch notes here.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now out on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide.
