Fair Play star was one of a handful of actresses to make it into the final rounds to be Lois Lane in the 2025 film . While she didn’t get the role, Dynevor said she had a great time in the process.
Speaking to Variety, Dynevor reflected on her time trying to become the DC Universe’s Lois Lane. Dynevor described the auditions as proceeding pretty quickly, and also praised the character of Lane as the brains and courage of the relationship.
“It was a whirlwind and then I realized that it was over, but it was great,” Dynevor said of the audition process. “She saves Superman. She’s the brains; she’s actually the fearless one.”
The titular role in Superman: Legacy is being played by David Corenswet (Pearl, The Politician), while Lois Lane will be played by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. They’re joined by Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, María Gabriela De Faría, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and more. The film is set to release on July 11, 2025.
The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. A few of the announced projects include a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, a Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing film, and multiple TV shows.
