Nothing beats the rush of killing that Uber boss and seeing your loot slot-machine out like Gold did from Wirt's body back in Diablo 2 — after all, aren't we all a bit Treasure Goblin inside? It makes it all the more crushing, then, when the loot is nothing worthwhile, especially with the amount of time gathering boss summoning materials takes. Not everyone uses trade to purchase those materials, and while some players have dozens of sets of Duriel summoning mats, not all are so lucky!
Blizzard has stated that they've heard the feedback on both receiving duplicate Uber Unique drops and on the accessibility of Boss summoning materials, and are looking into the situation for the future.
With their revamp of the Diablo 4 progression roadmap in Season 2, Blizzard added several new Bosses for players to farm, and implemented the long-awaited Unique Target Farming mechanic. However, summoning those bosses still takes time to farm the pre-requisite materials: you can't simply walk into a location and fight a Boss.
Previous iterations of Diablo allowed farming runs, where players could load into a game instance, run to a boss, kill and loot, and then log out to reset, repeating the loop, but Diablo 4's gameplay mechanics don't allow for this. Time will tell how the Boss summoning mechanics are tweaked going forward to allow more accessibility for players.
