The Apple Vision Pro will officially release on February 2, with pre-orders of the mixed-reality headset starting on January 19. Between this period, several reviewers will provide their initial thoughts on Apple’s first AR headset, but according to the latest update, the California-based giant will have a tighter grip on the entire process, suggesting that it does not want any negative content or impressions being published online.
Select technology media personnel and YouTubers will be selected for a hands-on experience on January 16, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, three days before Apple opens up pre-orders for the Vision Pro. A follow-up meeting is then set to take place on January 23 to go over the headset’s features for a second time. This will likely be the time when Apple Vision Pro reviews are being carefully inspected, and if some changes need to be made, those reviewers will likely be updated promptly.
All reviews of the Apple Vision Pro will reportedly be published by the end of January, which is just a couple of days before the mixed-reality headset officially goes on sale at hundreds of retail outlets across the U.S. It appears that the review vetting process will be much stricter this time, which is not surprising, given that it is Apple’s first attempt at this product category and with billions already spent on R&D, a ton is riding on a positive launch.
