In its first major update of 2024, Teyon pulled back the curtain on a new update for RoboCop: Rogue City that went live on all available platforms. This new update added the highly anticipated New Game Plus mode, with a new cosmetic reward for players who unlock it, and a bonus difficulty to give RoboCop: Rogue City players an extra challenge.
Following its November release, RoboCop: Rogue City asserted itself among the best games to feature the titular crime-fighting cyborg as he cleans up the streets of a futuristic Detroit. But through it all, RoboCop remains steadfast in his ongoing mission to protect the innocent citizens of a lawless, dystopian city.
Thanks to this new update, the fight continues for RoboCop. Available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, the update to RoboCop: Rogue City officially brings New Game Plus mode, which was a highly requested feature that the developers at Teyon acknowledged on social media in early January. Though the developers did not give an initial time frame for when it would be added to RoboCop: Rogue City, the update came just three weeks after that message was posted. In addition to the patch, Teyon released a short trailer to highlight the new features.
Players with existing save files can finish the game once more to unlock New Game Plus, including loading a save file just before beating the game's final challenges. All skills and upgrades from a previous save file will carry over into New Game Plus. Some new Auto-9 chips and boards were added to the game as part of the patch, so players will be able to customize RoboCop's trusty weapon to their liking. The new update also gave players a Golden Auto-9 weapon skin for unlocking New Game Plus in RoboCop: Rogue City.
